Amy Cole

President

Amy Cole is co-founder and board chair of the Gerrit and Amy Cole Foundation. Established in 2020 with her husband, Gerrit Cole of the New York Yankees, the foundation focuses on organizations and causes that improve the standard of living for children across the country.

Born and raised in Pleasanton, California, Amy’s primary goal is to help the foundation achieve its vision and create a tradition of giving back to the community where she and Gerrit live and work. Over the past decade, the couple have also made substantial investments to their former baseball communities of Pittsburgh and Houston. Since coming to New York, they made a significant donation to Direct Relief, an organization that coordinated with public health authorities and nonprofit organization to assist health workers responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to establishing the foundation with her husband, Amy worked for Athletes To Careers—a recruiting company dedicated to connecting athletes with their next professional career. Passionate about using her skills and experience to serve the foundation, Amy’s responsibilities include ensuring the foundation’s mission is being carried out through impactful giving.

Amy and Gerrit met while attending UCLA, where Amy played Division I softball and was a member of the 2010 National Championship team. As a student athlete, Amy successfully managed life both on the softball field and in the classroom, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. The couple welcomed their first son, Caden, to the family on June 30, 2020. Amy enjoys cooking, traveling, hosting friends and family, and staying involved in athletics.
